Today we set out to complete start and finish a job in one day. As any electrician will know installing an extractor fan from scratch can be a long job especially when having to core out a 100mm hole through a brick wall. Normally I'll book a day in for myself and the apprentice for this because it can be hard to determine how long the drilling will take. I've had several jobs where the drilling has taken 5 hours or even more. Not today Today was a good day and we managed to do the drilling and complete the installation with enough time to get to and finish another job.

Installing an extractor fan is a great way to alleviate condensation and damp problems in areas of heavy moisture such as kitchens and bathrooms. There are many fans on the market and in general you get what you pay for. For ensuites we at S. Griffith Electrical highly recommend the Expelair simply silent range. Obviously it does what it says on the tin and is a virtually silent option. These tend to be around £20 more expensive than a regular timed fan but are well worth the added investment.

If you are ever in need of an extractor fan to be installed in either a kitchen or bathroom but are not sure which is best for your needs then please give us a call today on 01492460999 or 07553083727 to discuss your options
